Colour Schemes:
RAF – original : Aluminium dope overall with natural metal cowling, black serial and standard RAF markings.
RAF – Red scheme – Was painted Bright Red overall with Clear dope Linen underwing with Black outlined White diamond with a Black 83 under the wings and white outlined Black serial and standard RAF markings when it was with ‘F’ Squadron of No.4 School of Aerial Flying.
Harry Butler – as above with the addition of the ‘Red Devil’ on the fuselage under the wings in Yellow.
Horrie Miller – Aluminium Dope and natural metal cowling with Black registration and name. Occasionally it’s cowling was painted in Black and Race numbers added to the fin.
Models:
In 1/72nd scale – Avis includes markings for Red Devil in one of it’s boxings, very nice kit.
In 48th scale – Blue Max in the only one I’m aware of.
In 32nd scale – Special Hobby, excellent kit.
